Any action is always a mixture of commitment and compromise. Life is made up of an infinite multitude of compromises. The person who does not know how to compromise does not know how to act. But compromise is not surrender of one’s principles. Gandhi put it very well when he said, ‘Love of truth has taught me the beauty of compromise’.
